Paris, Tenn.—Local veteran Barry Hart of Paris will finally be honored with a Bronze Star at the Veterans’ Day Service Saturday, November 10, at the Krider Performing Arts Center.
Hart will finally be presented with the Bronze Star for Valor for his actions 48 years ago in Vietnam. The public is invited to hear the story of how paperwork that had fallen between the cracks finally moved through the red tape. Hart’s son, Lt. Col. Matt Hart will be making the presentation to his father and will be the special guest speaker. Lt. Col. Matt Hart is commander of the 386th Expeditionary Support Squadron with the USAF.
The program is “Krider Performing Arts Center Salutes Our Veterans” and it will include musical guests from the Paris-Henry Co. Chamber Music Society which will perform a selection of patriotic music.
The program is free and open to everyone, especially the men and women who are serving or who have served our country’s military. It will be held at 2 p.m.
