YOUR LOCAL FARMER’S MARKET IS A GREAT PLACE TO BUY FARM FRESH PRODUCE.   VISIT THE OBION COUNTY FARMER’S MARKET ON TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS AT 2PM AND ON SATURDAY MORNINGS AT 7AM.  IT’S LOCATED UNDER THE PAVILLION AT THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OFFICE ON EAST CHURCH STREET DOWNTOWN UNION CITY.   THE HENRY COUNTY FARMER’S MARKET IS OPEN ON TUESDAY AND FRIDAY AFTERNOONS AT 3PM AT THE CORNER OF RUFF AND NORTH MARKET STREETS IN DOWNTOWN PARIS.   FRUIT AND VEGETABLES FROM LOCAL VENDORS IS ALWAYS DELICIOUS.   (TFN)

 

HENRY COUNTY YOUNG PROFESSIONALS ARE JOINING THE DOWNTOWN PARIS ASSOCIATION IN SPONSORING THE ICE CREAM SOCIAL AND ANTIQUE CAR SHOW THAT IS SET FOR SATURDAY, JULY 30TH IN DOWNTOWN PARIS.    SOME OF THE MONEY RAISED WILL GO TO THE HENRY COUNTY IMAGINATION LIBRARY WHICH IS FUNDED HALF BY THE STATE AND HALF FOR LOCAL CONTRIBUTIONS.  AS USUAL…ARMBANDS WILL BE SOLD FOR $10 EACH AND THAT ENTITLES YOU TO AS MUCH ICE CREAM AS YOU CAN EAT.   (7/08)

 

A BENEFIT FOR IZZY POLIN WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 11 TILL 7 SATURDAY AT PURYEAR UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.   IZZY WILL BE A THIRD GRADER AT HARRELSON SCHOOL IN THE FALL BUT RIGHT NOW SHE’S AT ST. JUDE IN MEMPHIS HAVING UNDERGONE STEM CELL SURGERY.   SEVERAL CHURCH ARE HELPING OUT SATURDAY    WITH ALL THE PROCEEDS GOING TO IZZY.   COME ENJOY BURGERS…HOT DOGS…BARBECUED BALONEY…BOSTON BUTTS…CHIPS…DESSERT AND MORE.   ALSO MUSIC…GAMES…A CAKEWALK AND A SILENT AUCTION.     (7/23)
