Paris, Tenn.–Paris Parks and Recreation employees Jay Hosford, Joel Crosno and Melvin Rack were busy Friday repairing the fencing around the Atkins-Porter Dog Park that was damaged during Wednesday night’s severe storms and high winds. A huge portion of a huge tree fell on the fence, making it possible for dogs to get out of the park. With other work being done by the city and the BPU on downed lines and transformers at that spot, workers could not begin fixing it right away, but the fence was fixed by Friday afternoon. The dog park is located at the corner of Walnut and Highland Streets. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
